a great comedian known throughout the world for 
his racy humor, witty songs, and winning smile.  

Always seen with a leer on his face and a 
beautiful woman at his side, Benny Hill has 
charmed millions if not billions of people in more
 than 140 counties around the world. 

Born in Southampton on the 21st. January 1924, 
Alfred Hawthorne Hill was to become one
 of Britain's best loved personalities. Persecuted 
though he was, towards the end of his career,
 by a misguided  bunch of humorless feminist
 extremists, he never lost the admiration of millions.

He had lived quietly in the town of Waterlooville 
in Hampshire for many years. A victim of
 a heart attack, Benny died, alone in his small 
flat on the 20th. April 1992. 

This witty yet lonely 5' 2 1/2" super star, who
 never married but had proposed to two
 women who turned him down, left an estimated 
estate of 10 million pounds.
